Is Freshmen officialy gone? I really enjoyed the first 2 trades which I've had for a good long while (I think I got 2 right when it came out). And the only new development has been the summer special. And there's no one on these boards. So is it all done officialy?

Hey, Eric. Thanks for asking!

No, I don't think we're done for good, but it's going to be a while before you see more, unfortunately. That's not altogether my choice-- the trades sold well, but the comic book market is really tough right now if you're not in the middle of a big event from Marvel or DC. It just doesn't make financial sense for Top Cow to do another series at the moment.

That said, we're working on the Freshmen movie-- slowly-- but it's coming together. We also have something we'll able to announce in the next few months that's going to be a fun merchandising thing, and it'll hopefully lead to more.

And there's always a chance we'll publish in another medium. There's also possibilities to continue with Top Cow at some point. We'll see how things shake out. I want to get back to it, and I know a lot of folks are hoping we'll do it sooner than later.

Right now I'm working on a novel, which will be done in the spring, and then I'll be getting back to work on the Freshmen script. I think by the end of the year we'll know better where we are with that. If/when the movie comes together, we'll certainly have the financial reasons to continue the comic, and I'll be more than happy to do it then.

As for this place being pretty empty... well, it's kinda hard to avoid that. We haven't put out a book in a year and a half, and have nothing on the schedule. You can find me at my fan page on Facebook, where I keep folks up to date on the stuff I'm working on. And we'll all meet back here when we're able to put out more books...

Glad you enjoyed the trades. Spread the word! Smile

Hey, what's the novel about?

(I haven't really done anything with Facebook, I've wasting my time on, er, what I meant to say was: I have been researching Second Life for, ah, some sort of science-fiction/fantasy novel. [I wonder if they bought it?])

I can't talk about it yet. It's just too soon. But as soon as I'm ready to part with some deets, I'll drop an anchor here to point you in the right direction. Smile

And I know the feeling-- I did, uh, research into World of WarCraft for all of 2007.
